Qu’est-ce qu’un foyer ? Un endroit où l’on se sent bien, en sécurité et tout simplement soi-même.

La plupart des habitats d’urgence ne permettent pas de se sentir «à la maison». Notre objectif est d’offrir un lieu conçu selon les besoins et les goûts des futurs habitants. Le logement est flexible et peut s’adapter aux paysages et aux variétés culturelles du Paraguay. En leur donnant l’opportunité de faire leurs propres choix, les habitants deviennent ainsi acteurs de la construction.

Nous proposons une structure simple, facile et rapide à construire, qui offre immédiatement une protection contre les éléments naturels et une réponse aux besoins primaires. Ensuite, chacun est libre de réaliser les finitions qu’il souhaite, grâce à l’artisanat local par exemple.

Construire un foyer prend du temps, c’est pourquoi les logements que nous proposons peuvent évoluer, être modifiés ou s’agrandir, et à long terme se rassembler et créer une communauté. Chaque logement est unique, tout comme la famille qui l’habite.

What do we call home ? A place where you feel content, safe and simply yourself.

Classical emergency housings do not allow people to feel home. Our aim: offer them a place that has been designed according to their needs and tastes. Giving people the opportunity to make their own choices, so that they can become actor of the building process, and develop a sense of ownership. By taking into account the specificities of Paraguay, the house has to adapt itself to various landscapes and cultures.

So why don’t give people a simple grid, adaptable, easy and fast to build, just enough to get out of the rain and other natural elements. Offer them the framework, supply them with all the primary needs that enable them to live where they want. And then, they will have the liberty to finish the job, using for instance traditional craftmanship.

A home can’t be built instantly, it’s a process that takes time. The house evolves over time, by getting bigger or just remodelled. Several houses in the same spot form a community. Each of it is unique, just as the family living in it.
